Mars Cave Defense

200 years of construction of a human friendly ecosystem is menaced by an allien invasion, since the nearest planet has no atmosphere, the mankind has covered channels and adapted mars' caves insufflating air and bringing  earth fauna to make a new habitable world...

Devlog #03 - We have a new 3D Viewer

I was creating a new Drone Fighter Model and I thought, why not to create a 3D Viewer to show off the models I've already created?

This is a HUD "Head Up Display"  interface, the background is adapted from an old project called boids with some modifications, I intend to use this interface in the real game.

This is the main screen and the controls used to rotate the camera around the 3D model,

You may also Press the Mouse Wheel and drag  to orbit around the model or

Right Click dragging to zoom in or out:

Each "enemy" model has three skins, one for each level: Don't be surprised with the last three models, those are cars from the other game I am developing MotorPsychos.


You can change then using the controls shown below:

Devlog #02 - I've finished my first game Jam

Hey guys, it was a pretty hard and fun  first game jam for me...

I started with 3d modeling, thinking a lot about the ambientation, about people join me and ...

But soon I've faced the need of doing the programming, and making a bullet hell game with a kind of hard 3D perspective deformed view where the mouse coordinates are not compatible.

I've learned a bit of how to use geometry nodes in blender, making a primitive procedural city inside the "mars' channels", although I haven't yet the time to optimized it for use in a low poly game as this... that's a pitty that the channels are empty :(

But I intend to finish this game yet, well, I would be able at lot more about these challenges, but you know where to find me yu want to talk about related subects!
